The Century Apartments: Construction Update

Construction is well underway at Century apartments! Selective demo is close to being complete, columns on the upper levels have been reinforced, apartments' new walls have been laid out, and the excavation for new storm & sewer lines is done. The recent gorgeous weather has also allowed the new waterproofing and penthouse layout to advance quickly. Thanks to our friends at McCullough Construction (Nick Interdonato, Matt McCullough, Jon Gregoryk, Christian Lucas and their subs) for working with us in a collaborative  manner...

The Oxford is the adaptive re-use of an existing 10-story office building in Oxon Hill, MD. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance the built environment with quality market-rate and workforce residences in a sustainable and affordable manner.

​Our team was brought during the Due Diligence phase to review existing conditions and to prepare a vision for the development. 
The deep proportions of the office building allowed us to create elongated units with ample living/dining rooms and in-board bedrooms and dens. The existing ribbon windows are being preserved, and the bedrooms will be provided with a clerestory and glass doors for natural lighting.

We are excited to work with the same team we built the Varsity on K with: 
Varsity Investment Group, CBG Building Company, Engenium Group, Colonial Electric, Charles A. Klein & Sons, among others. 

Our design goes in for permit in August and will start construction in November of this year.
