Featured Project: Todd A. Lee Senior ResidencesA key urban housing component on a revitalized street; this senior residence is a project currently under development. The Kennedy street corridor is thriving with a zoning fabric that allows for an abundance of mixed-use spaces. The ground floor houses two generous retail spaces to activate the urban promenade. Ground floor and rooftop common areas are spaces where seniors "aging in place" can create a new community. This building has a compact character complemented by contemporary facades with high quality materials.
Catering to the largest senior population in DC, this urban housing component is restricted to those earning between a 30% and 50% Adjusted Median Income (AMI). The project has been named the Todd A. Lee Senior Residences, in honor of the D.C. Housing Finance Agency chairman, who died in January 2020 at age 51. This project was awarded through a public RFP issued by DHCD.
